DAY 1: Mon - Depart USA
Depart USA to Italy. Your flight includes meals, drinks, and in-flight entertainment for your journey.

DAY 2: Tue - Rome
Upon your arrival in the Rome airport, our local English speaking representative will be waiting to greet you and escort you by private car to your hotel in the city centre. The balance of this first day is at leisure. Relax after your trip, or begin to explore the sights of the Eternal City.

DAY 3: Wed - Rome Vatican Tour
Today your guide will meet you at the hotel to take you on your private tour of the Vatican. You will be transferred by car to the entrance of the Vatican Museum where you will begin your tour. This tour will take you through the galleries of the Vatican Museums, home to the most celebrated art collection in Europe. You will see the incredible frescoed ceiling in the Sistine Chapel, the extreme expression on Michelangelo’s genius. Last but not least, the visit of the largest sanctuary of Christianity, Saint Peter’s Basilica, where proportions appear to have been forgotten in an amazing triumph of marble, bronze and mosaic works. The tour will end at in St. Peter’s Square from which you can take a taxi back to the hotel or continue sightseeing on your own.(B)

DAY 4: Thu - Ancient Rome Tour
Your guide and driver will meet you at the hotel. You will enjoy a one hour panoramic drive to Aventino, Terme di Caracalla, see the Circus Maximus, Rome’s ancient chariot racing venue and the Palatine hill above the Roman Forum. The notorious Roman traffic may dictate the route of your panoramic drive and limit some sites. You will then continue to the Church of St. Peter in Chains where you will see the beautiful statue of Moses by Michelangelo. Then on to the Colosseum where your walking tour begins with a visit of the famous site of the spectacle of gladiatorial combat. You will then make your way to the Roman Forum and explore the ruins of this ancient political, religious and commercial center. Your walk will continue to Piazza Venezia where you will be free to continue sightseeing on your own.(B)

DAY 5: Fri - Rome, Tuscany countryside, Florence
After check-out from your hotel you will be picked up by our English-speaking driver for your transfer to Florence. On the way, you will stop to visit two extraordinary Etruscan towns. In northern Lazio, you will cross a narrow bridge to the fascinating hill town of Civita di Bagnoregio, a place of awe-inspiring beauty and seclusion. In Umbria you will stop in Orvieto, famous for its Etruscan ruins as well as its Gothic cathedral and the excellent wines preserved in its underground cellars. You will arrive in Florence in the evening and check into your next hotel.(B)

DAY 6: Sat - Florence Walking Tour
Your guide will meet you at the hotel for a four hour walking tour of Florence.The center of Florence will be the spectacular frame of a tour dedicated to the city's glorious past and also to its stimulating present life. The slow paced walking tour will introduce you to the most important monuments of Florence. Begin at the Cathedral with the famous Dome by Brunelleschi and the gold "Paradise" doors of the Baptistry. You will see elegant palaces, pass some fashionable shops, and walk through the charming narrow medieval streets. Continue on to Piazza Signoria, which has been the political complex of Florence since the 1300^s when Florence was considered the richest city in Europe. Walk to the Ponte Vecchio, the bridge which attracts so much curiosity not only for its unique and charming appearance but also for the fabulous jewelry shops that line the bridge. You will visit the impressive gothic church of Santa Croce - pantheon of famous Florentines such as Michelangelo and Galileo. End the tour at the Accademia Gallery of Fine Arts Museum where you will have the opportunity to admire the eternal Florence masterpiece: Michelangelo's David (plus a few of his other pieces).Balance of the day at leisure.(B)

DAY 7: Sun - Florence, Venice
After check-out from your hotel this morning our driver will transfer you to the rail station for your train to Venice. You will have first class rail tickets with seat reservations. The journey will take two and a half hours on the comfortable Eurostar train. Upon arrival in Venice you will be met by our representative who will take you by private boat to your hotel. The rest of the day is yours to enjoy.(B)

DAY 8: Mon - Venice, Walking Tour
This morning, your English-speaking guide will meet you at the hotel for your private two hour walking tour of the city. Venice’s charm lies in its unique civil engineering achievements and in the harmony of Eastern and Western artistic styles. Your tour highlights some of the major monuments that define the look and history of Venice, and includes sites such as St Mark’s Basilica, St Mark’s square, the Bridge of Sighs and the Doges Palace.(B)

DAY 9: Tue - Departure
After check out from the hotel, our representative will pick you up for your private transfer to the Venice airport to catch your departing flight.(B)
